What is the TSI Test?
To determine college readiness, students must do at least one of the following: - Score at least 480 on EBRW and at least 520 on Math on the SAT Test - Score at least a 23 composite with a 19 on English and 19 on Math on the ACT Test - Take an English and math or science AP class and pass the AP test - Enlist in the military - Complete an industry-based certification course while in high school Students who do not do one of these will take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment prior to graduation. Students who do not take or pass the TSI test will be subject to remedial classes in college. These classes cost money, but do not count toward a student's degree, putting them behind their peers and lengthening the time they will need to complete any kind of degree. REQUIRED PRACTICE ASSESSMENT: All students are required by LCISD to take a practice TSI assessment prior to sitting for the test. Please click here to go to the practice test. Choose Terry High School for the campus. In the space that asks for your college ID number, you will use your Terry student ID number. |
Next test is May 8th. Click here to see if you are on the list: may8.xlsx
